On April 9, Learning Robots took part in an exceptional evening dedicated to artificial intelligence, organized at the Versailles CCI in partnership with the Versailles Club d'Affaires and the Invest-Y Angels business angels network. The event was designed to introduce an audience of professionals and curious onlookers to the practical challenges of AI... through hands-on experience.

The event brought together almost 90 participants in a setting conducive to exchange and discovery. It began with a 30-minute talk by Thomas Deneux, President of Learning Robots and creator of the AlphAI educational solution. The aim: to demystify artificial intelligence, explain its main principles, and show how it can be made accessible to all.

Then it was time for the demonstration. Two groups were formed, alternating between two complementary experiences:

  • On stage, participants watched a live demonstration of our AlphAI robot, discovering how it learns to follow a line using a K-nearest neighbor (KNN) algorithm. A concrete opportunity to visualize a simple yet powerful AI model.
  • Meanwhile, the other group was taking part in our "robot race" workshop, our flagship activity designed to give people the chance to experience supervised learning and neural networks in a fun, intuitive and collaborative way.

After a 30-minute workshop, the groups swapped roles so that everyone could enjoy both sides of the experience. A total immersion in the world of AI, punctuated by curiosity, exchanges... and enthusiastic encouragement during the robot races!

The evening concluded with a speech by the Versailles Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which praised the initiative and reaffirmed its support for innovative projects in the field of educational technology. A convivial cocktail party extended the discussions and forged links between participants, entrepreneurs and experts.

Many thanks to Frank Marguier, President ofInvest-Y Angels, and Arnaud Mercier of the Versailles Business Club, for their involvement in the organization of this event, and to the Versailles Chamber of Commerce and Industry for its warm welcome and logistical support.

At Learning Robots, we believe that the best way to understand AI is to manipulate it. And this evening demonstrated it brilliantly: by allowing everyone to experiment with AI through robotics, we saw the birth of clicks, smiles, and many promising questions.

One thing is certain: AI is not just for experts. It can, and must, be within everyone's reach.
