On April 10, the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie hosted the regional final of the Robocup Junior Île-de-France, a flagship event for educational robotics enthusiasts. Learning Robots was proud to take part as a partner, for a day of sharing, creativity and technological discovery.

Every year, this unique competition brings together middle and high school students to tackle robotic challenges in teams. Above and beyond performance, it's the spirit of collaborative learning and the enthusiasm of the youngsters that makes this event so special. It's an ideal setting for Learning Robots, whose mission is to make artificial intelligence accessible to young people.

For the occasion, we hosted a "robot race" workshop, where participants were able to test their agility, their logic... and their sense of fun! Thanks to AlphAI, they were able to manipulate robots that train in real time, thus discovering first-hand the principles of AI by reinforcement. A fun, interactive format that proved a big hit with the young (and not so young!).

But that's not all. On our stand, we also presented the latest additions to our AlphAI solution, including a major breakthrough: the integration of Lego Spike. It is now possible to connect AlphAI to a Lego Spike robot, control it via our intuitive interface, and above all... teach it to become autonomous. A real educational revolution, making the understanding of machine learning algorithms even more tangible.

Many visitors came to test this new feature, fascinated to see how a Lego robot could learn to follow a line, avoid obstacles or make decisions thanks to artificial intelligence.

This day at the Junior Robocup has once again reinforced our conviction that AI education needs to start early, in a concrete and motivating way. And there's nothing better than robotics!

Our warmest thanks go to the organizers of the Junior Robocup for their confidence, to the Cité des Sciences for their warm welcome, and above all to all the young participants for their communicative energy. It's with events like this that the next generation of engineers, researchers... or simply enlightened citizens are built.
