Before connecting your LEGO Spike robot to the AlphAI software, make sure that it is installed on your device.
👉 If it isn't yet, go to the Software section and then to the Software installation sub-section.

⚙️ Installing PyBricks on the hub

PyBricks must first be installed on your Spike hub (Essential or Prime) to establish the connection between AlphAI and your LEGO Spike.

Follow the instructions on https://code.pybricks.com/, illustrated by the following video.

🟡 Connection steps in AlphAI software

1. Switch on your LEGO Spike
   Press the button on the programmable hub. A 3x3 grid on the hub lights up, indicating that the robot is powered up.
2. Launch the AlphAI software
   Open the AlphAI software on your computer or tablet. Wait a few moments while it loads.
3. Select the robot model
   In the top left-hand corner of the screen, click on the "Robot model" icon.
   Choose "LEGO Spike" from the available options.
4. Click on the button that appears corresponding to your Spike hub
   If no button appears, the software will guide you through installing PyBricks on the hub.
